NEWS UPDATE IS LATE!! BECAUSE IT IS SO HUGE!!!

GREETINGS FRIENDS OF THE AQUABATS!! First off, we apologize for being late with the update this week, on top of everything else crazy we are trying to do, Pigbat, our famous webmaster, hauled off and got married this weekend... to the FLU!!! So while he was languishing and resting, the rest of us have been waiting with baited breath for the MOST IMPORTANT NEWS UPDATE... since the last one.

But think, what is more "Aquabats" than to wear a beanie and scarf when you are technically not supposed to! You can really 'Stick it to the man" this way. Well I am sure that costs a lot more than a new Beanie and Scarf from the worlds best crime-fighting toddler-cuddle songster dancers... THE AQUABATS!!! Also CADET RUSH WEEK has begun again! So, rush out and become a cadet for life!! It is quite awesome... you know. You know the Cadet Summit has been announced and will take place on July 22nd in San Diego. We cannot tell you exactly where yet but we can give you a little hint that it just happens to be held on COMICON weekend... is it a coincidence?? I THINK NOT!!! Additionally, we will be playing the San Diego House of Blues Friday, July 21st (the night before). Make your plans now!

We also have new sweatshirts that are better quality and have metal rings in them so your hood string wont pull out!! For other new items and radness go to the store... NOW!

But with all this talk of merchandise... doesn't it pose the question as to when the REAL news is coming? Well, here you go. TOUR DATES!!!.... cannot be announced at this time. BUT we are going out in early May and early June. With the following bands... STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO!!, WHOLE WHEAT BREAD!!!, NO TRIGGER!, SINGLE FRAME!! and possibly the AGGROLITES (so e-mail them and tell them they have to... they just have to). AWESOME!! We are looking for tour titles but for now we are calling it, "THIS BETTER WORK OR WE ARE DEAD SUMMER TOUR 2006" Please start making the proper calls and let's get these shows.... PACKED!!

In more AWESOME news from JAPAN!! THE AQUABATS SUPERFRIENDS YOSHIKO PINKBAT AND NAWOKI KARASAWA have been flying the flag of the 'BATS for some time now and need a huge shout out! NAWOKI is a popular gag manga artist in Japan and he loves The Aquabats! He is known in JAPAN as a Kaiju and samurai movie otaku expert and has issued over 50 comic books in 20 years!! He still draws regularly for 10 magazines!! HE IS the most under sleeping overworking monster professor Aquabats loving toy collecting manga artist in Japan!... maybe!

This is the cover art of his newest comic book. It is an ENCYCLOPEDIA of world monster legends!! AWSOME!!

This is a spoof manga of Giant Robot, the Bat Commander's favorite character from Japan!! The good Macintosh robot fights against the evil Bill Gates robot!! It's first appearance was in a computer magazine several years ago!!

YOSHIKO and NAWOKI were also responsible for throwing the Bat Commander a toy "Floating Eye OF DEATH" on stage last summer and he was so emo about it, he wrote a song on the spot. Check out the Video!

We want to say we love you and thank you to NAWOKI and YOSHIKO!! THEY ARE CHO-SUBARASHI!!! We hope to meet up with them again when we go back to Japan!! ...we hope.

Well, that may be the news for this week. We have plenty of other things to announce but my finger hurts from typing one key at a time...so for now......
